Alexandre Etkind was Professor of Russian Literature and Cultural History at Cambridge (2005-2013), since then Professor at the European University Institute in Florence) and Senior Fellow of the Zukunfstkolleg, University of Konstanz. His main fields of interest are the history of ideas and the history of Russia; Topics include historical memory, internal colonization, and the history of natural resources. He is the author of several books translated into several languages, but only one of which has been translated into French: History of psychoanalysis in Russia, PUF, 1995
